MCDONALD – Thomas Alexander McDonald, 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, May 7, 2010. He was preceded in death by daughters, Annette and Diane. He leaves his beloved wife, Jean; his daughter, Judy; stepchildren and spouses, Joanne and Pat Steele, Robin and Scott Kalbrenner, Barbara and Lee Leithauser and Andrew Lyon-Hall; grandchildren, Jordon, Jasmine, Thomas, Alex, Zachary, Hayden, North; great grandson, Landon; siblings, Doug, Ruth, Bob and Andy; many nieces and nephew and numerous friends. Born October 6, 1916 in Alberta, Canada, Tom worked hard on the family ranch. He worked in Canada for many years where he also owned and operated an aluminum casting business with his brother. He moved to the United States where he continued this work and his entrepreneurial skills took him to Hong Kong and Taiwan as a brilliant foundry consultant. He developed several companies and continued consulting in sales until his retirement at 88. A faithful Christian and a man of untold talents, Tom was a gourmet chef, an avid fisherman and golfer, a loving family man with a great sense of humor who was loved by all who knew him. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, May 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf & Jonkhoff and a Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Church.
